A Green Wall in Hampstead

We created this living, green wall in a small courtyard garden in Hampstead.  The planting modules were fixed to the wall giving us a large space for the planting.  A total of 460 plants make up the display inclusing a mini herb and salad garden in addition to many ferns, grasses and other evergreen plants.  Fully irrigated the plants should grow and thrive, let's hope for a fine, sunny summer so the plants can thrive in their vertical environment.

Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire - Front Driveway and Lawn

To create the level lawn we moved soil dug out from the back to create the patio and decking area.  A sleeper retaining wall was installed along the front in addition to a small rendered wall next to the new drive.  The permable driveway includes a car tuntable and is bordered by a mature Beech hedge and a clipped box hedge.  The impressive front gate was made from Iroko timber which will weather beautifully over time.  The planting scheme is minimal but mimics the linear qualities of the garden design allowing for lots of space for a level family lawn.

Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire - Garden Terrace and Water Feature

Here's a job that took most of last year, and some of this.  Tonnes of soil removal and relevelling to dig the patio and decking out of the old garden.  It's a great space when the sun comes out.  The three Oak trees planted in the water feature giving an unusual balance to the area complemented by the three pleached Hornbeams protruding through the decking.  These photos were taken in January so we're looking forward to seeing some plant growth throughout the year.  Should look great!

Newly finished patio and decking

This funky patio in Ladbroke Grove was designed by the client.  A really interesting surface was created using the rectangular slabs and the decking boards.  A perfect party space!
